Waxbook runs inside ChatGPT, and most questions are answered right there by asking Waxbook itself — "what's in my binder", "undo that sale". This page covers setup, how a sale gets verified, and how to reach a person.

Getting started

Waxbook runs inside ChatGPT. In ChatGPT, open Plugins, add Waxbook, and sign in when asked — that's the whole install. Then show it a card: type what the card is, or send a photo, and say "add this card and find what it's worth". Waxbook adds it to your binder and checks real sold listings for a matching sale. You'll need an eBay account you can sign in with, because eBay only shows sold listings to signed-in users.

Connecting your binder

Your binder lives with your Waxbook account, not with any one chat. Sign in with the same account every time — the same email, or the same Google account — and every chat, on every device, sees the same binder. If ChatGPT shows Waxbook without your cards, check that you're signed in to Waxbook with the account you started with.

Verifying a sale

When Waxbook finds a sold listing that matches your card on every detail — card and number, set, parallel, grade, and serial numbering — it records that sale and shows you exactly what it recorded, with Undo and "Not my card" right there. If a detail doesn't match or isn't stated, Waxbook asks you instead of guessing. If the sold listings can't be opened in your chat, Waxbook gives you the sold-listings link; open it, find your sale, copy the listing's link and paste it back.

What Waxbook does not do

Waxbook doesn't estimate values, doesn't predict prices, and won't show a number it didn't record from a sale. It doesn't buy, sell, list, or bid on anything, and it can't act on your eBay account. It doesn't store listing photos or watch the market in the background. If a card shows "Unpriced", that's Waxbook being honest: no verified sale is on file yet.

Contact

Email support@waxbook.app and a person will answer, usually within two days. Include the card and, for a sale question, the listing's item number — it's on every recorded sale — so we can see exactly what you see. Found something wrong, like a sale matched to the wrong card? Use Undo or "Not my card" first, then tell us; those two buttons also tell Waxbook's matching what it got wrong.
