These are the terms for using Waxbook. The short version: your cards and verified sales are yours, values shown are recorded sales rather than appraisals, and nothing in Waxbook is financial advice. The sections below are the full agreement.
Waxbook is a binder for sports cards: you add cards, verify sales, and see what your cards actually sold for. Waxbook records sales of comparable listings that you or Waxbook's matching identify; a recorded sale is one data point from one marketplace on one day, not a promise your card will sell for the same. The service is provided as is, without warranties, and we may change or discontinue features. Waxbook is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, eBay or any card manufacturer; their names appear only to say where a sale happened or what is printed on a card.
You need to be at least 18 and able to form a contract. You sign in through Auth0 with an email address or a Google account; keep that account secure, because anyone who controls it controls your binder. You're responsible for what's done with your account, and for keeping your use of other services — eBay included — within their own terms.
Your cards and verified sales are yours. You give us only the licence needed to store them and show them back to you. Don't use Waxbook to store anything unlawful, anyone else's personal information, or content you don't have the right to store. We can suspend an account that abuses the service, attempts to access another account's data, or sends automated traffic designed to overload it.
Waxbook shows recorded sales. Nothing in Waxbook is financial, investment, or pricing advice, and no value shown is an appraisal. Card prices move, single sales mislead, and a thin record (one sale) is labelled as thin because it is. Decisions you make about buying, selling, or grading cards are yours.
We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change matters, we'll say so on this page and update the date at the top; using Waxbook after a change means you accept it. If you don't, delete your account — the Privacy page says how. These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA.
